Unveiling the secret of healthy soil! Our soil EC meter operates on the principle of soil electrical conductivity (EC), an indicator used to gauge soil water-soluble salt. Now, you may wonder, why should you care about soil water-soluble salt? Well, it turns out to be an imperative element of soil that decides whether the salt ions present will impede crop growth or not.

A fluctuation in the soil EC – too high or too low – can directly obstruct the thriving of crops. Different crops, in varying growth stages, need different suitable soil ECs based on their fertilizer requirements. Typically, the conducive range pegs between 0.4~1 (ms/cm).

An interesting observation made in the same area under regular conditions indicates – the higher the EC value, the greater the salt content present in the soil. Remember, the conductivity value is expressed as, lms = 1000 us.

Product specification:

It has a comprehensive measuring range of EC 0.00~4.00mS/cm; CF 0.0~4.00CF; TDS 10~4000ppm. With a resolution of EC 0.01mS/cm; CF 0.01CF; TDS 10ppm, it boasts an accuracy of ±2%F.S. The soil EC meter can operate flawlessly in 0°C~50°C environment and comes with an automatic temperature compensation feature in the same range.

Note: It requires 4 x 1.5V(AG13) batteries (not included) and measures 170mmx38mmx38mm.
