Introducing the DSO Shell (DSO150) Oscilloscope. Much like its predecessor, DSO138, the DSO Shell maintains a similar bandwidth but encompasses numerous enhancements in structure, mechanics, and operation.

Notably, the Display and MCU are conveniently situated on the same board, the mainboard, eliminating the need for inter-board pin-headers. This structural modification is particularly beneficial to beginners who encountered difficulties with soldering on the pin-headers. The analog channel is located on a distinct board featuring most user install parts, promoting a solid separation between the analog and digital circuits. Absent of the analog component, the mainboard doubles as a versatile control board for numerous applications. It arrives fully installed (except a few through-hold components) and meticulously factory tested prior to packaging.

The DSO Shell incorporates a complete enclosure. It’s an arrangement that offers quick and easy modification by the user thanks to flexible front panel and top/bottom brackets.

For increased convenience, a Rotary encoder has been added, enabling swift and simple parameter adjustments. Furthermore, the sensitivity range of the DSO Shell has been expanded in both directions, making it superior and wider than the DSO138’s range. It achieves 5mV/div — 20V/div in comparison to DSO138’s 10mV/div — 5V/div.

Running on a 9V power supply, all users must make sure to use a power voltage that should not exceed 10V. Power supply is not provided in the kits.Users have the option of connecting via the standard 5.5mm/2.1mm DC plug on the mainboard’s power jack, or to other power sources through the supplied 2-pin connector (0.1″ pitch).

Feature specifics: The unit has one channel and an analog bandwidth of 0 – 200KHz. Sensitivity range is between 5mV/Div – 20V/Div with a 12-bit resolution. The maximum input voltage the device can handle is 50Vpk, with an input impedance of 1M ohm. Real-time sampling rate maxes out at 1Msps while the power supply requirement stays at 9V DC. Supply current stands at 120mA @ 9V. The device dimensions are 115mm x 75mm x 22mm, and it weighs 100 grams (cables and power supply not included).

Recently, the PCB board and included accessories underwent several updates, now embodying the latest version of 109-15001-00E. Comprehensive information on the next steps is available via accessible links: Firmware, User Manual, Mainboard Schematic, Analog board Schematic, DSO150 Library, Source codes, FAQ, Tips, and Troubleshooting.

The package includes one fully assembled DSO150 Digital Oscilloscope and detailed instruction in English.
