For those new to using a lathe, remember to operate at a low speed, slowly and cautiously. The speed can be adjusted between 50-8000RPM, but when cutting wood, it should not exceed 4000. For grinding, you can use a higher speed. Ensure that the drill chuck axis, the axis of the wood, and the tailstock center of the drill are in a straight line. If not, adjust the nut accordingly. If you’re not working on a cylinder, reduce the speed. Remember to lock the tailstock bearing tight and keep the blade’s bottom screw locked, located 1-1.5cm away from the timber. If you’re unsure about the operation, it’s best to consult a professional.
