The A90 Headphone Amplifier is constructed with top-performing NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) modules. These modules employ a Voltage Current hybrid feedback architecture integrated with UHGF (ultra high gain feedback) technology to provide exceptional DC and AC performance.
The A90’s high output current drive capability allows it to comfortably drive low impedance headphones. It features three types of output headphone jacks: 4-pin-XLR, 4.4 balanced, and 6.35 SE to suit different user requirements.
With a high output voltage of SE 25Vpp / balanced 49Vpp, high output current, and less than 0.1 Ohm output impedance, the A90 is versatile enough to adapt to a wide range of headphones.
The A90 comes equipped with three gain settings: -9.5dB/ 0dB / 9.5dB for SE and -3.5dB / 6.0dB / 15.5dB for balanced. Its low noise presence of only 0.2uVrms allows it to easily adapt to all types of headphones, from extremely sensitive IEMs to the most power-demanding full-sized over-ears.
When operating in pre-amp mode, the A90’s NFCA modules offer 20ohm SE and 40-ohm balanced output impedance, making them aptly suitable for a variety of power amplifiers. When paired with a D90 DAC, the A90 acts as a valuable accessory for active monitors.
