The DM556 Microstep Driver is a DSP digital stepper motor driver compatible with 5V and 24V signals. It can perform up to 128 sub-divisions, making it an excellent choice for high-subdivision applications.
The driver is made to work efficiently with 42, 57, 86 type 2 phase and 4 phase (4 wire 6 wire 8 wire) stepper motors. It operates with a DC power supply in the range of 20V-50V. The H-bridge bipolar constant phase current drive ensures a stable power supply.
The driver offers eight optional output current levels, up to a maximum of 5.6A. It also comes with 15 subdivision modes that can extend up to 128 subdivisions. The input signals are optical-isolated at high speeds for accurate results.
A notable feature of the driver is the standard single pulse interface. It also possesses an offline hold function for easy maintenance. The semi-enclosed chassis design allows the driver to operate in challenging environments.
The driver also comes packed with energy-saving functionalities such as the semi-automatic current locking system. Built-in temperature protection and overcurrent protection ensure efficient operation without any damage. The driver weighs 250g.
