Product Description:
A stepper motor, such as this NEMA 14 model, is a rotational device divided into a series of discrete steps. It provides precise positioning and holds the load firm when halted, making it ideal for applications such as plotter and printer mechanisms, dynamic lighting setups, and mirror mounts. Though smaller and generally lighter than models such as the NEMA 17, the NEMA 14 stepper motor’s power is not determined by its size.
Key Features:
- Cost-effective due to the absence of winding slip rings or commutator in the rotor.
- Facilitates easy positioning as movements are stepped according to pulses given to the stator windings.
- Rotation direction can be simply altered by reversing the pulse sequence.
- Pulse or pulse rate frequency enables speed control.
