These silicone socks are designed to protect the V6 Block from becoming dirty or burnt due to frequent usage. They not only clean the nozzle but also help retain heat within the hotend away from the print.
Manufactured from a non-stick, heat-resistant silicone material, these socks are able to resist accumulation of molten plastic. They are particularly useful when printing with materials like Co-Polyesters and filled materials prone to buildup on nozzles.
Aside from cleanliness, these socks also provide a significant improvement in temperature stability, especially in high airflow cooling around the nozzle area used for print cooling. The added cooling and reduced heat radiation from the block and nozzle to the print enable excellent overhangs and bridges while maintaining a highly stable hotend temperature.
