With these silicone socks, these issues are a thing of the past. They act as a guard, keeping your nozzle clean, and preventing the occurrence of burnt blackened plastic.
Not limited to merely cleaning, the socks retain the heat within the hotend and enable it to stay off the print. They are made from heat-resistant silicone that is non-stick in nature, making them capable of warding off build-ups of molten plastic. This feature is especially beneficial when using materials like Co-Polyesters and filled materials that frequently accumulate on nozzles.
An additional advantage of these silicone socks is the significant stability they provide to temperatures. If your printing process involves high airflow cooling around the nozzle, these socks control heat radiation from the block and nozzle to the print. This increases the printer’s capability to create superior overhangs and bridges while maintaining a steady hotend temperature.
