The SONOFF BASICR2 inherits all the smart features of its classic BASIC predecessor but comes out with an ETL certification that mainly focuses on safety. The product’s performance has been improved and optimized, expanding its categories.
Besides, the BASICR2 has CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications, which means it complies with safety standards. It has been tested by the authority and certified with the ETL, so you don’t have to worry about its quality or safety.
The BASICR2 model is dust and moisture-resistant and can withstand harsh weather conditions without compromising on safety. The model has been tested to function continuously for up to 48 hours in high humidity environments and for extended hours in temperatures between -10℃ to 60℃ at a 10A rated load.
For preventing any sparking in a high humidity environment, and to ensure the user’s safety during installation and use, this device incorporates adequate safety features to prevent accidental contact with live parts. Mandatory insulation requirements are strictly controlled even in unfavorable positions of normal use.
As for the structure, it meets the requirements of micro disconnection and installation test ensuring the reliability and safety of BASICR2. A heat shrinkable sleeve is used on the fuse for better electrical insulation.
The shell is made with flame-resistant LEXAN 940A PC resin material of UL-94 V0 class, which endures a ball-pressure test up to 125℃, ensuring high heat-resistance and strong structural stability.
Please note, the SONOFF BASICR2 model does not have a 433Mhz RF receiver module; if you require the RF function, we recommend purchasing the SONOFF RFR2 model.
