Once you choose your desired temperature, the soldering iron will heat according to the temperature chart set in the “Tip Selection”. The heating function will automatically halt if unchecked.
While calibrating, if you observe that the actual temperature is not matching the set temperature, you can increase or decrease the AD value accordingly. Make sure you follow the essential rule while calibrating – the data set should progressively increase from the smallest to the largest, which ensures the temperature validity.
For clearer understanding, here’s an illustrative example: Suppose before calibration, for 100℃, AD=110; 200℃, AD=270; 300℃, AD=380. If while calibrating 200℃, the temperature is less than 200℃, the AD value must be stepped up from 270 but shouldn’t exceed the 380 AD value at 300°C. However, if the temperature doesn’t reach 200°C even when AD is adjusted from 270 to 380, it indicates that the 380 value at 300°C is too small, which needs adjustment first.
