There are 4 simple-to-use modes:
- Boost Mode: A short press takes you to this mode. You have the flexibility to set your Boost temperature and time. Boost temperature can go between 5-100 degrees and time from 1-30 minutes.
- Working mode: Works within a temperature range of 40-500 degrees, would not exceed 550 degrees, and comes with a default setting of 300 degrees.
- Sleep mode: Easily activate this mode with a double click. Set your sleep time anywhere from 0 to 60 minutes, and choose a sleep temperature between 40-300 degrees.
- Shutdown mode: Triple-click to shut off the device. It can detect a time range of 0-60 minutes and stops heating after the mode has begun.
Ever so user-friendly, it has a menu that can be accessed by holding down the encoder for 3 seconds. From the menu, you can choose between several preset options like boost temperature setting, sleep temperature setting, shutdown time setting, and more. You can even restore to default settings if needed!
If there are no T12 Handle or T12 tip inserted into the soldering station or if the T12 tip is bad, and the heating program is activated, the display will show ERR if the T12 tip does not heat up. If it’s working well, it’ll display the temperature. Handy, isn’t it?
Now, listen to the sounds! When it reaches the set temperature, it will emit a short sound. The system will give off a long beep when entering boost mode, while sleep mode triggers one long and two short sounds. Going into shutdown? Listen for one long and three short sounds.
