How it works: The mechanics of this device is reflective of ingenuity. An integral reed switch hinged in a magnetic float is the base of operation. The magnetic material is safely held in a non-magnetic metal or plastic pipe, setting one or multiple magnetic reed switches. Engage one or more floats that bear a magnetic element through the catheter. The level control or direction is then dictated by a paired mechanism of the fixed float and reed switch. As the float moves with the fluid level, the reed switch contacts are actuated when the float approaches, leading to an open and closed action for level control. In simpler terms, when the float is close to the reed switch, it’s turned on. Conversely, it’s turned off when the float is away from the switch.
