USER GUIDE
- Activate the detector using the On/Off switch and bring it close to a metal object. An audible tone will emanate from the device; adjust the volume to suit your preference.
- Hold the detector well away from metal objects – ideally, outdoors for best results.
- Tweak the Sensitivity Control knob until the sound it emits is barely hearable.
- Turn the Sensitivity Control knob back till the sound ceases. This sets the device to its utmost sensitive detection level.
- Lower the detector, moving it in a back and forth direction. Keep the search coil about half an inch from the ground.
- Slowly move the search head over the area you’re scanning. Rushing the process might lead to missed discoveries.
- It’s normal to uncover various scrap metal items like bottle caps, metal pull tabs, and foil wraps. Gather these and dispose of them correctly. Remember, persistence is key.
- CAUTION: Avoid immersing the search coil in water. This is not an underwater metal detector, and water contact will damage the unit.

Show respect for the environment. When out treasure hunting, always have a bag on hand to discard any trash you unearth. This is vital; do not leave the surroundings littered. When digging up lost items, ensure the digging area is restored to its initial state. Avoid digging with a shovel – a small garden trowel or a flat-blade screwdriver are perfect tools for the job. For sandy areas, a scoop or a sieve with small holes makes for an easy search. If your finds are grimy – especially ancient and possibly valuable coins – clean them with care. Do not use strong detergents or abrasives. A preferred method is soaking them in olive oil for a day or two and then gently removing the dirt with an old towel.
