The MKS Gen L combines the functionality of 2560 and Ramps 1.4 in a single interface, eliminating the need for difficult connectors. The board is compatible with a multitude of stepper drivers such as A4988, DRV8825, TMC2100, and LV8729, and allows for driver and motor changes as wished by users.
Additionally, this product comes with a reserved space for external driver signals for ease of connection to external high-current drivers. This further simplifies the process of driving the 57 and 86 stepper motors. It uses superior quality MOSFET that ensures optimal cooling and stability.
The MKS Gen L is equipped with a specific power chip, which supports a 12V-24V power input, addressing the issues of chip overheating and power deficit. Moreover, a dependable and efficient filter circuit is incorporated to curtail interference, preventing crashes during the printing process.
With a CH340 serial port chip included, drive installation is made easier than with 16U2. The board runs on Marlin firmware, with similar configuration to Ramps 1.4, and serves as a direct replacement for the same. The board is also compatible with Ramps 1.4, 2004LCD,12864LCD, TFT28 and TFT32.
The product design allows 24V input, reducing the current of the heated bed to 1/4 at the same system power, addressing the issue of the MOSFET of heated bed overheating. Furthermore, the differently colored terminal of the X, Y, and Z axes aids in controlling the stepper motors and endstops for convenient wiring.
Upon purchase, every MKS GEN-L V1.0 package will include a motherboard, five DRV8825 drivers, five heatsinks, and a USB cable.
