Overview: Sonoff Basic is an integral part of home automation and represents “The Internet of Things”. This affordable WiFi smart switch lets users exert seamless control over their home equipment. It’s a versatile remote control power switch compatible with a broad range of appliances. The device operates by transmitting data via a WiFi Router to a cloud platform which permits remote control of the all linked appliances through the mobile app eWeLink. The server employed is Amazon’s global server.
The Sonoff WiFi controlled switch transforms regular home appliances into smart ones. As long as the user’s mobile has internet access (2G/3G/4G/WiFi), it’s possible to control the appliances by turning them on and off remotely at any time. Users can also program timers to control their appliances. These timers include countdown, scheduled and loop timers, aimed at making life simpler for the user.
The app eWeLink enables straightforward control of the appliances. The iOS version is available in the Apple Store, and the Android version is in Google Play.
Important: The Sonoff Basic model doesn’t possess a 433Mhz RF receiver module. For the RF function please purchase Sonoff RF.
