📱 For Android & iOS Phones
- Download the App
- Install the “DM WiFi” app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Alternatively, scan the QR code provided with your device.
- If “DM WiFi” isn’t available, try “WiFi Check” as an alternative.
- Power On the Microscope
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the green indicator and white LED light turn on.
- Remove the transparent protective cover from the lens before use.
- Connect via WiFi
- Go to your phone’s WiFi settings and select the network named “DM WiFi_xxxx” (no password required).
- Ignore any “unsecured network” or “no internet” warnings—this is normal.
- Launch the App
- Open the “DM WiFi” app to view the microscope feed.
- If the screen is black, ensure the app has WiFi access permissions and disable VPN if active.
⚠️ Notes:
- The “DM WiFi_xxxx” network only transfers image data and does not provide internet access.
- Charge the device fully before use (red indicator light = charging; off = fully charged).
💻 For Windows PCs
Option 1: Built-in Camera App (Windows 10)
- Connect the microscope via USB.
- Open the “Camera” app from the Start menu.
- Ensure camera privacy settings allow app access.
- Zoom buttons (“+” and “-“) are not functional in this mode.
Option 2: “xploview” Software (Windows 7/8/10/11)
- Download and install xploview.exe (3.87MB).
- Plug in the microscope and remove the lens cover.
- Open “xploview,” go to Settings → Device → Select “GENERAL-UVC” → Apply.
- Zoom buttons do not work in “xploview.”
🍎 For Mac Users
Option 1: Built-in “Photo Booth” App
- Connect the microscope via USB.
- Open Photo Booth, click “Camera” in the top menu, and select “GENERAL-UVC.”
Option 2: “xploview” for Mac
- Download and install xploview_v3.3.31.pkg.
- Follow the same steps as Windows users for device selection.
🐧 For Linux Users
- Install “Camorama” via terminal:
- Open Camorama Webcam Viewer, connect the microscope via USB, and start using it.
❗Troubleshooting Tips:
- Ensure the device is fully charged.
- Try different USB ports/cables if the device isn’t recognized.
- Restart your computer/phone after installing drivers/software.
