This product is compatible with:

Motor Driver: MKS TB6600 (4.5A)
3D Printer Motherboard: MKS-Gen

Product Features:

The MKS Gen motherboard has a signal port that outputs the signal from the motor driver. It is recommended to pair this motherboard with 4988, 8825, or similar motor drivers.

In contrast with other 42 motor-drivers for 3D printers currently available, the primary IC in our design connects directly to the motor driver IC. This means that the current consumed at each interface does not exceed 2MA.

Most commonly, 57/86 stepper drivers utilize optical coupling isolation to avoid interference. Each motor driver has three inputs. The EN enable port controls the motor switch, the PUL pulse port controls motor position or speed, and the DIR direction interface controls the motor’s movement direction.

Connecting each motor driver to one driver actuates one motor. One driver generally consumes a maximum of 30MA of control current. After connecting X, Y, Z, and E to four 57/86 motor drivers, about 100MA of working current is needed. Conducting the connection directly could cause the 3D printer IC control board to overheat if the current is not enlarged.

Please note:

Our MKS CD expansion board can adjust the flow of control signals to prevent motor drives with optical isolation from putting pressure on the main IC. Therefore, Ramps1.4, MKS Gen, and other motherboards with large motor drives can function without any pressure.

Usage Instructions:

Directly insert the MKS CD into the driver slot and lead the control signal from the socket at the top of the white card port. Please pay attention to the direction of the socket.
