These insulating socks are designed to keep the V6 Block clean and free from blackened, burnt-on plastic. Not limited to keeping the nozzle immaculate, these socks also insulate the hotend, maintaining the heat where it’s necessary and off the print.
Constructed from heat-resistant, non-stick silicone, molten plastic build-up is repelled. This is particularly helpful with sticky substrates such as Co-Polyesters and filled materials that tend to accumulate on nozzles.
In addition to cleanliness, these socks offer substantial temperature stability, especially when high airflow cooling is used around the nozzle to cool the print. This cooling technique, paired with the decrease in heat radiation from the block and nozzle to the print, greatly enhances print quality in overhangs and bridges. This process also ensures the hotend temperature stays remarkably stable.
