The MA-2 microphone preamp comes in a smart, durable design. It weighs 175 grams, making it suitable for use in both recording studios and live performances. A net gain of +25d8 is provided by the MA-2 that strengthens the signals from your dynamic or ribbon microphone while maintaining their original tones.
The amplifier uses a (JFET) field-effect transistor amplification circuit design that stabilizes the circuit’s electronic components. This design aids in passive amplification of the input signal to ensure low noise floor, minimal sound quality loss, and prevents excessive coloration of the original signal.
The MA-2 is user-friendly. Just connect NPT to a dynamic or passive ribbon microphone, link OUTPUT to a sound card or mixer, and turn on 48V phantom power.
Please note that the MA-2 uses 48V phantom power supply but it doesn’t power the microphone. It’s suited for ribbon microphones and dynamic picture microphones. It also has four sponge foot pads that provide anti-fall cushioning.
Please be aware that due to lighting conditions and monitor settings, the color of the item might differ slightly from the picture. The allowable error of measurement is +/- 1-3cm.
