The tool works on a power consumption of 6V (6W) for alkaline batteries and 4.8V (5W) for Ni-MH NiMH batteries (2150mAh). It delivers an impressive battery life, offering about 60 minutes with Alkaline batteries and up to double that time with Ni-MH NiMH batteries (2150mAh). Its dimensions excluding the protective cover are 212 (L) x 23 (D) x 40 (W) mm. Please note, though, that it requires 4 x AA batteries which are not included in the package.
How to use:
Getting started is easy. Just insert the soldering tip through the hole in the nipple and fasten it to the unit. Remember to secure the tip tightly while it is cold. For the batteries, all you need to do is slide down the release button to the ‘UNLOCK’ position, remove the battery cartridge, and place your batteries in the correct orientation. Once done, slide the cartridge back.
Turning on the device is just a flick of the switch away. The LED lamp indicates the power status, and the soldering tip becomes ready to use after just 40 seconds of heating. Once you’re done, turn off the device and remember to attach the protective cap back to the unit.
