Product Overview:
The Silent Step Stick Protector is an add-on step-motor driver that is Pololu A4988 compatible. This module features a motor output that comes with a flyback (free wheeling) diode, ensuring durability against inductive voltage, even when the driver isn’t powered.
The v2 protector version is equipped with a diode channelling from logic voltage (anode) to motor voltage (cathode), ensuring seamless power sequencing of all silent steppers.
This protector is primarily designed to mitigate vibration in 3D printers with a parallel arm structure. It proves to be especially effective with motors exhibiting lower resistance. By efficiently eliminating uneven signal waves at low speeds, it delivers relatively flat signals.
