Product Overview:
This soldering iron tip isn’t designed for prolonged high-temperature usage. Such conditions can significantly damage the tip. Usually, the melting point of regular solder is at 183 degrees while lead-free solder melts at 227 degrees. The ideal soldering temperature lies between 300-450 degrees. The permissible limit is 380 degrees since beyond this point, the iron tip undergoes rapid oxidation and damage, thereby impacting the heating core’s lifespan. If the temperature exceeds 380 degrees, the temperature display will show fluctuations. The higher the temperature is, the more intense the fluctuations will be. However, such fluctuations are normal and don’t affect the functionality of the tool. We recommend a soldering temperature range of 300-380 degrees for your tasks. This range is quite generous and can accommodate a vast majority of soldering tasks.
