Description
Features: The product features a built-in magnetic induction and a vortex double principle probe, enabling it to automatically identify measured metal substrates. It calculates the thickness of the coating when placed on the measured surface.
Equipped with a digital LCD backlight display, the car paint thickness meter can provide clear data readings in dark or night environments. Users can switch the measurement unit between mm and mil to accommodate different measurement requirements. When using the tester to measure paint thickness, ensure it’s perpendicular to the test surface at a 90-degree angle.
This portable coating thickness gauge can measure the thickness of non-metallic coatings on metal substrates quickly and accurately. It is primarily used to measure the thickness of vehicle surface paint and other coatings.
Measurement Steps
Step 1. Prepare the test parts.
Step 2. Position at least 2 cm away from any metal object before pressing the switch key to turn it on. Before testing, it’s recommended to zero the instrument with reference to “zero calibration”.
Step 3. Place the probe vertically and quickly on the measurement surface until a drop is heard, the measured value will then appear on the screen. Lift the probe at least 2 cm away from the test part for the next measurement. If the instrument remains inactive for 3 minutes with the automatic shutdown function activated, it will power down automatically.
