The Thickness Gauge is a versatile tool used primarily for measuring the thickness of metal plating and coatings such as paint, enamel and chrome on steel, as well as paint and anodic oxide coatings on aluminum and copper. It automatically identifies the properties of the substrate being measured and enables non-destructive measurement of coating and paint thickness. This gauge is indispensable for exploring material surfaces and finds wide usage in sectors such as manufacturing, metal processing, the chemical industry and commercial inspections. Features
- Easy Operation: The built-in magnetic induction and eddy current dual-principle probe automatically identifies the substrate under measurement. You only need to place it on the surface to get the coating thickness.
- Digital LCD Display: This clear digital display with backlight supports statistical data, showing averages, minimum, maximum and number. It accommodates up to 50 data points for statistics. Once 50 is reached, the latest data replace the oldest, and statistical values are updated automatically.
- Three Probe Modes: Choose from Automatic (AUTO), Magnetic Induction (F) or Eddy Current (NFE) modes to suit your requirements.
- Unit Switching Function: Toggle between units including microns (um), millimeters (mm), and mills (mil).
- Zeroing Calibration: To ensure higher accuracy, the gauge requires calibration.
- Multifunctional Design: The design incorporates a battery power indicator and an automatic shut-off function after 3 minutes of inactivity. It also lets you turn the backlight on and off as needed.
- Statistical Display: Shows averages, minimum, maximum values, and count. Like the LCD Display, it takes up to 50 data points for its statistical reading.
- Standard Aluminum Film: The package includes an aluminum sheet and 6 calibration films of thicknesses 0.05mm, 0.25mm, 0.10mm, 0.50mm, 1.00mm, and 2.00mm for varied requirements.
