Meet our exceptional wall detector, engineered to identify materials such as metal (steel, copper), and cable concealed within walls, ceilings and floors. It also discerns wooden beams, metal, and cable beneath plasterboard. This device is designed to make drilling tasks safer during home or office decoration.
Powered by a single (and highly convenient) 9V battery (note: not included within your purchase), this technology is capable of detecting magnetic metal with a depth of up to 12cm. For non-magnetic metal, it reaches a depth of 10cm while for alternating current, it detects up to a depth of 5cm.
Not limiting its detection to just metal, this device also identifies wooden components within a depth of 3.8cm. It has a robust operating time of approximately 6 hours and also an automatic shut-down feature that kicks in after 5 minutes of inactivity.
Our wall detector provides three distinct detection modes:
- Foreign object detection mode, which pertains to materials such as wood and offers detection up to 1.5 inches (38 mm).
- Metal scan mode – for identifying metals like iron, copper and aluminum pipe, reaching up to 3 inches (76mm).
- AC Wire scan mode – for detecting AC wires up to a depth of 3 inches (76mm)
This highly functional detector is accompanied by an audio and visual indicator which facilitates easy marking during metal detection. Further ease-of-use is provided by the LCD screen which is particularly reader-friendly thanks to the backlight.
Before you begin drilling into any wall using an electric drill, ensure you’ve checked the position or depth of any potential metal bars, cables, wooden beams, etc., and avoid these elements to prevent accidental drilling.
