Additional Note on Display Behavior
Please note that the LED display is a 7-segment type, which means only the necessary segments will light up to form the numbers being measured. Not all display segments are lit at the same time. For example:
-
At low RPMs (e.g., below 1000 RPM), only 1–3 digits may be active depending on the actual value.
-
At higher RPMs (e.g., several thousand), more digits and segments will light up.
This is normal behavior for digital tachometers and does not indicate a defect. The product pictures are for illustration of the display style only.
Simplified Setup Instructions
-
Power On: Connect DC 8–15V to the tachometer (+12V to positive, GDN to negative).
-
Signal Input: Connect the motor’s pulse output (PNP/NPN or voltage pulse) to IN+.
-
Mode Switch:
-
Press SET once → “1” shows → RPM mode.
-
Press ADD to switch → “2” shows → Frequency mode.
-
-
Rate Setting: Press SET until “01” is displayed. This is the default rate (display equals actual RPM). If set to “10,” the displayed value ×10 = actual RPM.
-
Auto-Save: After 10 seconds without pressing a button, settings will automatically save.
-
Reading Display:
-
Below 1000 RPM → one decimal point shown (e.g., 856.3).
-
Above 1000 RPM → whole numbers only (e.g., 2450).
