Description
This signal source exhibits a high level of accuracy, comparable to professional comprehensive measurements. It is designed to accurately test the actual receiving sensitivity of walkie-talkies.
Features
- Optimal for FM walkie-talkie debugging.
- Equipped with a built-in 800Hz audio modulation and the analog digital CTCSS function.
- The sensitivity unit is DBM, with general hand sensitivity ranging from -120DBM to -130DBM. Note that higher sensitivity corresponds to a greater negative number.
- Please refrain from inputting power to the signal source, and avoid pressing the intercom button during testing.
Specifications
- Material: ABS
- Color: Blue
- Frequency Range: 0.5MHz-470MHz
- Signal strength: -70-132dBm
- Standard 800Hz audio modulation along with the analog digital CTCSS function
- Operates on a 8-12V DC power supply; frequency displayed up to 7 digits (e.g., 439.6000MHz is displayed as 4396000KHz)
- Signal strength is valid between -70 and -132dBm. Beyond this range and for other audio modulation values, the device may not be effective.
- Dimensions: 155 * 120 * 63mm / 6.1 * 4.7 * 2.5in
- Weight: 271g / 9.6oz
- Package Dimensions: 210 * 160 * 70mm / 8.3 * 6.3 * 2.8in
- Package Weight: 303g / 10.7oz
Testing Method
During testing, set the frequency of the signal source input transceiver to -100DB or any chosen value. As you reduce the output strength of the source, the walkie-talkie’s audio output will begin introducing noise. For instance, if the intercom audio signal just hears noises at -120DB, then that’s the receiving sensitivity of the radio.
