Description
The coating thickness tester included here features an LCD display with backlighting for easy reading. It offers two measurement modes: single point mode and continuous measurement mode. It supports Limit values locks (upper and lower), and it allows for custom calibration. There’s also a high alarm function and a low alarm function, data clearing capabilities, μm/mil unit conversion, and an automatic switch-off after about 10 minutes of inactivity. It can detect various metals such as steel, iron, copper, aluminum, alloys and even non-conductive coatings such as paint, oxide film, plastics, and ceramic on the metal’s surfaces.
Features
LCD Digital Display: The tester has a backlit LCD display for clear readings. It works efficiently despite changes in temperature and lighting.
Single Point Mode: Press the probe against the substrate’s surface, a beep will sound, and the value displays on the screen. For accurate results, make sure the probe is 50mm away from the surface for any subsequent measurements.
Rapid Continuous Measurement Mode: To measure multiple points quickly, press the probe against the substrate and adjust your position freely. It enables you to perform continuous measurements efficiently.
Composite Probe: The probe is suitable for Fe magnetic materials, NFe nonmagnetic materials. It’s also ideal for measuring curved surfaces such as steel pipes, thanks to its v-groove design.
Upper and Lower Limit Value Locking: The tester provides a function to lock the upper and lower limit value of multiple measurements.
Custom Calibration: To calibrate the tester, place the standard 50μm, 100μm, 250μm, 500μm, 1000μm on the iron or aluminium substrate surface. When the probe touches the standard, it should display the corresponding calibration point.
Alarm Function: It comes with a high alarm (1500μm) and low alarm (0μm) function. You can set any alarm thickness value as per your requirements.
Multi-functional Design: The tester offers data clearing, μm/mil unit conversion, and automatic switch-off functions.
Applicable Materials: Able to read on substrates like steel, iron, copper, aluminum, and alloys. The tester can also detect non-conductive coatings like paint, oxide film, plastics, and ceramic on metal surfaces.
