The FY8176 network tester is a versatile handheld tool designed to test and diagnose various network and telephone cables. Due to its extensive functionality, this cable tester is an essential tool for telecommunication and cabling engineers, as well as network maintenance personnel.
Features
The tool boasts of an advanced anti-interference digital cable scanning technology, which makes it highly sensitive, noiseless, and stable against interferences. This feature, combined with maximum 60V withstand voltage, makes the tester compatible with all types of POE switches, most suitable for RJ45 interface network cables. This tester also allows for receiver sensitivity adjustments.
Thanks to the TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) technology, the FY8176 Network Tester can measure the length and locate fault points of network cable, telephone cable, and BNC coaxial cable, covering a range upto 400m/1312ft. Please note, the measurements must be carried out in open circuit.
Also incorporated into this tool is the wire map function which enables the tester to check the physical connection status of the tested network cable, identifying any issues like wrong sequence, open or short circuit, and reversed connection, etc.
With its ergonomic design, the tester comes with a full view 2.5 inch color screen on the transmitter which ensures clear readability even in the dark. The device is wrapped in a soft rubber material, offering a comfortable grip as well as protection from drops up to 2m. The receiver includes a flashlight for user convenience in dark areas. The package also includes a cloth pouch for easy storage and transportation.
This tester is equipped with a battery undervoltage prompt to notify users when the battery drops below the working voltage.
