The Nanlite Lantern 80 Softbox is designed for overhead use or to augment ambient light levels and merges the multidirectional light quality of traditional ‘China Balls’ with the durability and portability of a contemporary softbox.
The Lantern 80 features a spherical design that measures 31 inches in diameter, enabling it to emit a wide, 270° beam of light. It is engineered to distribute light uniformly in all directions, filling your workspace with soft, balanced luminescence.
Each Nanlite Lantern Softbox comes with a light control skirt set. These skirts can be easily attached to control the expansion of the 270° beam and can be rolled up or down to shield or expose light as needed.
The Lantern 80 incorporates an Easy-Up speed ring featuring spring-loaded rod locks. These rods can be swiftly clicked into position when setting up your lantern and released just as quickly when you’re breaking down your setup.
Designed to pair with Nanlite’s Forza Series LEDs, the Lantern 80 employs a Bowens Style Speed Ring, a nearly universal mount that ensures compatibility with a wide array of LED, strobe, and constant lights.
