This product is a replacement kit suitable for Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers. The entire kit weighs about 150g. It provides a comprehensive set of tools and parts necessary for Joy-Con joystick replacement, including screwdrivers, pry tools, screws, and joystick replacements, among others.
Here are the instructions to use this kit:
- Begin by using the provided Y00 screwdriver to unscrew the four screws located at the back of the Joy-Con controller.
- Employ the spudger provided in the kit to lift up and detach the back cover of the casing.
- Gently use the spudger to remove the battery from its case.
- With the +2.0 screwdriver, unscrew the five screws securing the battery tray, and gently move it aside.
- On finding the ribbon cable just beneath the metal joystick casing, gently lift its clip.
- With caution, detach the ribbon cable.
- Carefully lift the clip that secures the joystick’s ribbon cable.
- Gently remove the joystick ribbon cable.
- Using the +2.0 screwdriver provided, remove the two screws that hold the joystick in place.
- Lift out the old joystick and place the new one provided in the kit.
- Replace the two screws to secure the new joystick in place.
