For those new to using a lathe, remember to operate at a low speed, slowly and cautiously. The speed can be adjusted between 50-8000RPM, but when cutting wood, it should not exceed 4000. For grinding, you can use a higher speed. Ensure that the drill chuck axis, the axis of the wood, and the tailstock center of the drill are in a straight line. If not, adjust the nut. If you’re not working on a cylinder, reduce the speed. Remember, the tailstock bearing should not be locked tight. When using a blade, lock the bottom of the screw, ensuring it’s 1-1.5cm away from the timber. If you’re unsure about any operation, it’s best to consult a professional.
