1. Begin by manually rotating the flywheel to ensure its smooth operation. If it’s not running smoothly, adjust the relevant screws (note: these have been pre-adjusted before shipping).
2. Make sure all sliding parts are clean and free from debris.
3. Fill the accompanying alcohol lamp to just below two-thirds of its capacity.
4. Light the alcohol lamp and place it in front of the test tube. Wait for about a minute, then give the flywheel a spin. The engine should start rotating. If you’re using a generator, the warm-up time might be slightly longer.
Safety Precautions:
1. Avoid touching the test tube and any connected metal parts to prevent burns.
2. If the alcohol lamp has been lit for a while, do not touch it as it may cause burns.
3. This product is suitable for users aged 8 and above, and children under 8 should be supervised by an adult.
4. During heating, avoid touching the cotton tube of the alcohol lamp. The piston should not be oiled, but both ends of the connecting rod should be lubricated for optimal performance.
