Sonoff Basic is a vital component of the “Internet of Things” also known as home automation. It’s a WiFi-enabled smart switch that provides a seamless control for all connected devices and appliances in your home.
The Sonoff Basic WiFi switch connects to a plethora of appliances, transmitting data through the WiFi router to a cloud platform. This connection enables users to control all appliances remotely via a mobile application known as eWeLink hosted on an Amazon global server.
What sets Sonoff WiFi switches apart is its ability to make all home appliances smart. Assuming your mobile phone has network access (2G/3G/4G/WiFi), the switch enables you to control the appliances remotely; you can turn them on or off from any location and at any time. Additionally, the switch provides timer features, such as countdown/scheduled/loop timers which assist users in maintaining a hassle-free life.
The user-friendly mobile application, eWeLink, simplifies appliance control. You can download the iOS version of the application from the Apple Store, or the Android version from Google Play.
Note: Sonoff Basic does not come with a 433Mhz RF receiver module. If you want the RF function, please buy Sonoff RF instead.
