Fully compliant with DVB-S/S2/T/T2/C standards, it supports a wide range of hardware decoding, including MPEG2, MPEG4, H.264/MPEG4 AVC, and H.265/HEVC. The digital meter measures signal strength and quality, and supports auto and manual scanning. Additional features include a sound and light alarm for signal lock, auto calculation of AZ and EL angles, and DISEQC 1.0/1.1/1.2, Unicable, 0/22kHz Tone capabilities. The device has integrated speakers, supports both AV out and AV in, and also supports H-DMI out. Additionally, it offers LNB short protection and includes a built-in 7.4V/2600mAh Li-Ion battery.
Designed for easy transport, the handheld combo meter also allows for software upgrades via its USB port. However, note that the ST-5150 finder does not support the North American DVB-S2 8psk turbo format. Its satellite list is built for European satellites, although users can manually input transponders to search satellite channels.
