Fabricated from a non-stick, heat-resistant silicone material, these socks effectively ward off accumulations of molten plastic. This feature is particularly useful when working with sticky materials like Co-Polyesters or filled substances that tend to stick to nozzles.
The socks also greatly enhance temperature stability. This is especially beneficial if you leverage high airflow cooling around the nozzle to cool the print. The resultant increase in cooling, coupled with a reduction in heat radiation from the block and nozzle to the print, substantially improves overhangs and bridges printing capability while keeping the hotend temperature remarkably stable.
