These silicone socks are designed specifically for the V6 Block to prevent dirt accumulation and surface charring that may occur over time. They ensure that the nozzle remains clean, free from blackened, burnt-on plastic, and also help maintain heat within the hotend, and away from the print.
Manufactured from non-stick, heat-resistant silicone, these socks do an excellent job of repelling the build-up of molten plastic. They are effective, especially when working with materials such as Co-Polyesters and filled-materials, which are known to accumulate on nozzles.
In addition to preventing debris build-up, these silicone socks also significantly enhance temperature stability. This is particularly beneficial when high airflow cooling is used around the nozzle to cool the print. The added cooling effect, along with the reduced heat radiation from the block and nozzle to the print, substantially improves overhang and bridge printing. It also ensures that the hotend temperature remains impressively stable.
