The key features of this product begin with a robust 32-bit ARM Cortex M7 processor clocked at 300Mhz, a dedicated bus for the interfacing with single-board computers like Raspberry Pi. It also comes equipped with 6 high-performance Trinamic 5160 stepper drivers, capable of carrying a current of up to 4.45A RMS, with a peak of 6.3A. On top of built-in firmware control that provides up to 256 microsteps, the stepper driver boasts features like StallGuard 2 and StealthChop2.
This product offers support for future-generation Duet3D expansion boards, smart tools, and custom plugins that operate on the CAN-FD bus. Initially, it’s designed to support up to 8 3-channel expansion boards, bringing the total stepper channels to 24.
Furthermore, there are 10 variable current capacity Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) outputs that can supply power to a high-current heated bed, 3 extruders, and 6 fans. The product includes 9 Input/Output (IO) ports designed for terminal blocks, probes, filament monitors, and other sensors.

The PanelDue 5i comes with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels on its 5″ LCD. It draws power from the 3D host printer driver with a 2.5 V supply. The onboard micro SD card slot and PanelDue can make serial and power connections via a 10-way ribbon cable, which is provided.
For serial and power supply connections to the control board, a 4-wire cable is used, which is also supplied with the product.
