The product in question is a digital tester explicitly crafted for automotive electronics. It is capable of detecting the status of CAN and LIN communications – whether they are online or offline. Included in its capabilities are automatic recognition of CAN-High and CAN-Low, as well as automatic baud rate detection. CAN baud rates of 100-125-150-200-250-300-400-500-666-800-1000kbps, along with LIN baud rates of 2400-4800-9600-14400-19200bps, are supported by the tester.
Features
Portability: This handheld CAN/LIN digital meter is compact, enabling convenient on-the-go electrical maintenance.
CAN Mode: To activate this mode, connect the measuring probe to the CAN/HL pin. The screen then shows the baud rate, which is followed by real-time data after a 2-3 second delay. It automatically identifies CAN-L / CAN-H and supports a CAN baud rate of 100-125-150-200-250-300-400-500-666-800-1000kbps.
LIN Mode: This mode necessitates a proper (+/-) connection according to the pin definition. The LIN baud rate of 2400-4800-9600-14400-19200bps is supported. Connect the red meter probe to the LIN pin and the black one to the GND pin.
Low Battery Warning: The digital tester is equipped with a digital display and a low battery warning feature. If the LCD display shows “Low Battery”, it’s time to replace it.
Auto-shutdown: If there are no interactions in 3 minutes, the meter will power down automatically.
User-Friendly: Powered by a 9V battery and comes with simple operational controls. Press the ON/OFF button to power it on or off. Briefly press to change modes, hold for two seconds to shutdown.
Note
If no data is displayed, it’s recommended to verify the accuracy of the definition pin connection, check for bad contacts, and ensure the correct current mode.
