How to use it:
- Clean the parts you wish to solder.
- Clean the soldering iron tip and tin all faces of this tip with a coating of solder.
- Heat the parts to be joined, not the solder.
- Apply the flux-core solder to the heated parts, not the soldering tip, until the solder melts and flows freely.
Precautions:
- The iron can be placed on the stand or kept flat on the work surface during use. Ensure the metal parts of the soldering iron have good ventilation and heat dissipation effect. When heating, don’t hang the soldering tips or place the tips down as this could risk burning the plastic handle.
- Avoid setting the soldering iron temperature to 450 Celsius for prolonged periods to prevent the iron from oxidizing and becoming difficult to solder.
- After use, wipe the iron clean with a sponge and retin to maintain easy tinning on the soldering tips.
- If you won’t be using the soldering iron for a while, adjust the temperature to 200 Celsius. If you aren’t going to use it for a long time, turn off the power supply.
