Introduction:
The GT2560 is a compact board that integrates the impressive functions of the Mega2560 Ultimaker. Capable of replicating the functionality of the Mega2560 Ultimaker in terms of both software and hardware, the GT2560 also offers additional features. Its streamlined interfaces help avoid any unnecessary complications. The systematic layout of its components allows for high integration, which helps save space, making it easier to mount in most applications.
With five stepper motors, exchangeable driving components, an ATmega2560 processor equipped with a 256k memory, and a high-performance USB serial converter FT232RQ, all operating at a 16MHz frequency, the GT2560 becomes a suitable choice for a 3D printer control board. Not to be outdone, the GT2560 can accommodate over 12V and produce a 90W output for a MOSFET, resulting in higher torque and rotation speed.
Features:
- Combines the functions of Mega2560 Ultimaker and the Mega2560+ramps 1.4 kit. It’s not just a replica, it offers a more compact design, improved connectivity, and stability.
- ATmega2560 is used as the chief control chip, paired with a high-performance USB serial converter FT232RQ.
- The power package operates on a 12V-24V voltage. It uses two separate power supplies to power the heatbed and logic sections. The heatbed current is 12A, and the remaining parts are supplied with 5A. It also supports a 12V cooling fan.
- SMD fuse implemented in the primary circuit for additional safety. Other safety features include a diode at the power port for reverse protection of the entire circuit, and a 5V USB port protected with a 500mA recoverable fuse.
- It includes three outputs for 12v fans and a PWM output for LED lights or similar devices.
- Three 55Amp MOSFETs are each fitted with a heat sink for stable operations.
- Supports five A4988 stepper drivers.
- Three temperature sensor inputs are available.
- Accommodates an LCD2004 and LCD12864 with an Extended LCD and SD card interface.
- The firmware uses the well-acclaimed Marlin known for its stability and high performance.
